Great location.
Horrible service.
The room they gave us (party of 3) was the smallest room of in the hotel, bathroom had no bathtub. Called the front desk to ask for another room as I needed a bathtub to give my 4year old a bath. Was told that the hotel was booked and that I should have a...Read More

Has a movie theater!
Room was well appointed, but a bit small.
Beautifully restored, independent hotel in St. Louis' central west end. Restaurant is great, innovative dishes and really delicious. Lots of amenities, courteous staff, and the smell of popcorn from the movie theater wafts through the lobby all day.

Rooms were very nice.
I reserved a king bed suite and it took me going to 4 rooms before they got me to the correct room with a king bed which wasted an hour of our stay.
Rooms are beautiful and spacious. Very pleased with our stay once they got us to the correct room we reserved. They kept trying to give us a queen bed saying it was a king bed and the room service food is just okay but the restaurants in the hotel are Exc...Read More

I liked the local area eateries and shops.
The room was dusty and the air conditioning didn't work very good.
This is a beautiful hotel with a very professional and serving staff. We did have a problem with the air conditioning not working right so the hotel took $75.00 off our bill. We loved being able to walk to the local area eateries and shops. The restaurant...Read More

Much like hotels of the past. Felt like a respected guest.
No "smoking" rooms available
One of the grand hotels of St. Louis, recently renovated. Growing up in St. Louis, I think it part of the historical psyche of folks who couldn't afford to stay there in their younger years. Exceeded my expectations.

Nice size room, kitchenette, lots closet space.
Construction noise at 8 am, poor TV reception, restaurant.
Great size room (suite) with kitchenette suitable for long term stay, construction noise started at 8 am constant pounding, they said bathrooms being enlarged. Two other people in restaurant for breakfast, yet slow service. Television was 1980's vintage a...Read More

Classy.
Snooty staff, small bathrooms and static TV.
This hotel was awesome! We stayed in a Queen Suite which had a full kitchen, living room and bedroom. The downside is the bathroom is half the size of a regular hotel or motel bathroom and the TV was small with bad reception. It was kind of a shock consid...Read More
